Adventures in Thunderbird #2 

"The stupid thing keeps telling me I have unread mail after polling for messages, yet there are no new messages in any folders."
The above was fixed by enabling "Automatically download new messages" for every account. Don't ask me why it's not enabled by default of even why there is an option to turn it off in the first place! I'm just happy not to have "phantom emails" any more :)
