London closes admit fears of an attack

You will no doubt have heard by now about the explosions in London. Reports will not be clear until later, but what we've heard so far is that a few buses have been ripped apart and several underground trains on the Metropolitan line have been "hit". By what we don't know yet. Was it accidental or deliberate? Only time will tell and I wouldn't like to speculate right now. There is much conflicting information flying around.

At this point we still do not know what caused the explosions, London Underground are saying it was a power surge, others are convinced it was bombs. The capital has all but shut down and out lying railway stations have been evacuated.

A strange silence has descended here and you can feel that the atmosphere has changed. It feels like 9/11 all over again, although this time it is much closer to home.

Please spare a thought for those that got caught up in these terrible blasts.

Edit: 13:45 Here is an apparent translation of a statement written on an arab website claiming responsibility. It includes a warning for Denmark and Italy.
